As home to a major public university, Ann Arbor is a city in constant motion, anchored by the ‘townies’ who live here and the ‘gownies’ who flow in and out of the University of Michigan. Daryl Hurst is among a select number who have always called Ann Arbor home and who hold a degree from the U of M. This identity has led Daryl to invest his time and interest in his hometown on many levels beyond his local persona as a magician. He has authored several articles that were published in the Ann Arbor Observer in recent years. Click on each image to read the full article.
Daryl was also thrilled to provide the 10,000 maize and blue balloon drop for the local celebration of the University of Michigan's 1997 National Football Championship in Crisler Arena. Watch the video here.
Daryl's 7-year research collection for the Pioneer Band Association is now housed in the Bentley Historical Library. Click here to access the library's finding aid for this collection.
